Academic Background

I hold a Masters of Arts in English Literature from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University). My thesis focused on the metaphor of hunger in Canadian fiction, with a specific look at Margaret Atwood’s seminal novel The Edible Woman.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts from York University, where I published my first features in Macmedia and This Magazine.

During my academic career, I’ve had the honour of receiving several continued academic excellence scholarships, as well as the prestigious SSHRC Grant from the Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC).

Since graduating, I’ve taken several Continuing Studies courses from the Ontario College of Art and Design towards a certificate in Digital Media.

Currently

My research is currently looking at digital fashion and the impact of augmented reality on shopping.

I am presently serving as chair of the Fashion Business Management Professional Advisory Committee at Centennial College.

Right now, I'm obsessed with drones, photography, and my two dogs, Duncan and Reggie. I live in Toronto, Canada.
